Sing tea: Milky Oolong 100 g
Milky Oolong is a golden tea that is clearly related to the green teas, but it has a sweeter taste. A traditional Chinese tea with beautiful long dark leaves. Milky oolong has a soft and round taste with a distinct note of milk, but the tea has nothing to do with milk.
Oolong is a semi-oxidized tea.
During processing, the leaves have briefly begun an oxidation process, which has been interrupted by drying in order to preserve the properties and bright color of the green tea. The leaves oxidize in the sun, which produces an endearing taste experience. The oolong teas are always whole leaves and originate mainly from Taiwan and China.
Preparation
Milky oolong is brewed in a small preheated teapot. Be careful not to use too much tea.
The water must not boil for a long time, as you boil the oxygen out of the water.
Use 1 tsp. tea per cup.
The leaves are poured with 80-85 degree warm water.
Drawing time: 3 – 4 minutes.
The leaves can be used 2 – 3 times.
Tips
By small jug is meant possibly Japanese tokoname teapot with internal strainer. The advantage of the small jug is that you brew 1-2 cups at a time, after which you add more tempered water when you are ready for the next cup. In this way, you utilize the potential of the leaves by brewing several times, and you get the experience of a fresh cup of tea.
If you brew too much, the tea can also be stored in the fridge and enjoyed cold.
Keep dry and cool.
