Kukicha with yuzu, Kagoshima / Japan.

Kukicha, or twig tea, is from Japan and is a mixture of twigs and some leaves from the tea bush.
In this version of kukicha, the citrus fruit yuzu contributes, with citrus notes that also provide deep flavor notes of orange/grape and mint.

Kagoshima is located on the southernmost tip of the island of Kyushu in southern Japan. The soil is mineral and the active volcano Sakurajima has a strong influence on the surrounding nature.

Kukicha with yuzu can be brewed in a medium-sized pot.

Use 3-4 grams of tea (two small teaspoons) for 400 ml. water.
Water temperature: 80-85 degrees.
1st brew: 1.5 minutes.
2nd brew: 30 seconds.
